"My name is Elisa and I am originally from Austria, but live with my family in the United States and I am finishing my undergraduate studies at Central Michigan University with the intent of attending medical school after. However, first I would like to learn Spanish, something I have tried to master for 5 years. In order for me to do this, I need to immerse myself in the culture of a Spanish speaking country. I thought this program would be perfect as it allows me to learn the language I want to pursue while teaching others about the languages I have acquired through my life and world travels.
My family moved from Austria when I was 9 and has been traveling and living all over the world since then. I love experiencing new cultures and languages, especially food, and people. Aside from traveling, I like to run and be active, which includes many other sports and activities such as swimming and biking, I like to cook and bake, care for animals, and interact with my friends from all over the world.
I know that with my experience I can help someone become more confident in German and English, and expose them to new cultures, which is something they can do in return for me with the Spanish language and its culture. "
