Teach English in Germany

Teach English in Germany.  Live with your chosen German host family in Germany or Austria and teach them conversational English for a few hours each day in informal situations such as eating together, shopping in the vegetable market or visiting the local tourist sights  Your responsibility will be to informally teach English through conversational practice, both to children and adults, in exchange for your meals and accommodation. Some of our German families may decide to pay you pocket money or a stipend for your work as an English conversational coach.

There are many German families living in all parts of Germany looking for a live-in English teacher coach. Teaching English abroad in Germany is a really interesting way to get under the skin of German life and culture whilst building up your professional teaching experience.

We call teaching English conversation in Germany ‘working as an English Language Au Pair”.  Teaching English in Germany as a Language Au Pair allows you time to gain valuable and practical English teaching experience without the need for any specific language teaching qualification. If you already have a TEFL / Celta or similar qualification for teaching English then you can still take part in our program. Qualified teachers will obviously find it easier to select an interesting host family in Germany or Austria.

English conversational Language Au Pairs in Germany don’t have any child care or domestic chores during their teaching holiday. Your work will be simply teaching English to your German family as part of your agreed working holiday.  Your German speaking host family will provide an authentic Germanic atmosphere, meals and accommodation while you teach them English conversation skills in their home.
