Boy, Spanish, 13, Language Exchange, Barcelona, Spain

"We are a german/spanish family, living in the city centre of Barcelona. We educated our children open minded and quite self-confident. With 12-16 years old they are moving themselves within the city, meeting friends or going to cinema. All 3 are now in the nice phase of adolescense, which causes from time to time some discussions. Nevertheless we have still common breakfast, lunch and dinner together, trying to keep a certain discipline by switching off all mobile phones ;-). For at least 10 years we had several au-pair girls from Germany, living with us, in order to let our children growing up bi-lingual in spanish and german. So it is not new to us to share our flat with somebody unknown.
Hugo is our second child, quite active, listening music, and since last year enthusiastic with martial arts, boxing and calistenia (street-workout). During 5 years before he played soccer in a team. He loves with friends going to the beach and doing some sports. He has a nice humor and loves to play with his small 2 year old cousins.
For many years our family spends the weekends and vacations outside Barcelona in our flat at the Costa Brava area. We are doing some water sports and enjoying spanish sun and beaches. "
