Some things simply can’t be learned in a classroom. With Lingoo, children and teenagers can eat, sleep and breathe a new language and culture through carefully chosen host family and teacher-led stays. Help your child improve their French, German, Spanish, Italian and other languages through complete immersion in a real home environment.
Host families share their interests, hobbies and local activities, making language learning engaging and naturally woven into daily life.
Different ages benefit from different levels of structure and independence. Here’s how Lingoo supports both.

Younger learners benefit most from gentle daily structure, close supervision and consistent encouragement. Staying with a trusted host family, ideally one with children of a similar age, allows language learning to happen naturally through meals, activities and shared routines.
For families seeking additional structure, a homestay with a qualified teacher combines immersion with one-to-one lessons.
Designed for: Close support and supervision | Encouraging home environments | Steady, confidence building progress | Safe and nurturing immersion
Teenagers thrive when they are immersed in real life language use while being supported by trusted adults. A host family stay allows them to practise the language every day, build independence and experience authentic culture.
For exam preparation or accelerated progress, living in a qualified teacher’s home combines daily immersion with structured one-to-one lessons.
Designed for: Building fluency and independence | Cultural confidence | Structured academic support | Optional peer exchange opportunities
For confident teens with a good grasp of the language, peer-to-peer language exchange can also be an option.

A language homestay allows your child or teenager to stay with a host family for full cultural and linguistic immersion, or with a teacher for structured, focused learning. Living in a real home environment helps build confidence, fluency and exam readiness through daily use of the language.

A homestay with a teacher combines daily immersion with one-to-one lessons in the teacher’s home. All Lingoo homestay teachers are professionally qualified to teach the language they offer, providing structured support alongside natural practice.

Two members offer hospitality to each other’s children of the same age. It offers children and teenagers a fun way to make new friends and experience a new culture as part of learning and using a foreign language.

Search for a language stay with someone who shares your young learner’s interests, your lifestyle and even religion. Most hosts are happy to share their hobbies and provide fun activities and day trips. All these elements make up a successful language homestay experience.
You need to know that your child’s language holiday will be safe and well managed.
