A fantastic hostess... friendly, warm-hearted and attentive. With lots of activities included.
Our daughter (16 years old) felt very comfortable and had a great time with Yvonne, her family and the other guests.
Couldn't have been better - we highly recommend this host family :)

My son (17 ) came back delighted with his stay. All the members of the family were adorable, he felt very welcome and did lots of activities. As a parent, I really appreciated the contact with Yvonne, a warm, caring woman, with whom communication was very pleasant. It couldn't have been better !

Our daughter, 15 yrs old, had a really good stay with Yvonne and her children. They warmly welcomed her, were really carefull. The house was very comfortable. She had a great time, they played lots of board games and did lots of outdoor activities (tennis, walks, surf).

Familia encantadora. La estancia de mi hijo fue muy agradable. Pendiente de él, hicieron actividades y mejoró su ingles. Para cualquier duda que tuviera, Yvonne siempre estaba ahí. Su marido e hijos, tambien estupendos. Pensando en regresar.

Mon fils de 13 ans a passé 15 jours merveilleux. Il était complètement intégré aux programmes de la famille, il a été en confiance et s'est pleinement épanoui. Merci beaucoup Yvonne et Malachi !

Famille très accueillante. Bonne ouverture sur l'Europe avec tous les hotes de différents pays. La maitresse de maison s'interesse beaucoup à ses hotes et à leurs améliorations de l'anglais. Sorties régulières à la campagne ou en ville. Toujours une activité à faire.

First of all I just liked the fact that I could speak English with your family because it's a big family and there are people of many different ages. I had fun with Melanie Rose and with Clementine, I played with Malachi, and so on ...
Then, I liked the house and the area. It's the countryside and there is a lot of nature around the house. It was good to have some fresh air while we went for a walk.
I really liked the presence of young people.
Plus, in your family I was welcomed, I lived in a nice atmosphere, in a friendly place.

We didn't do extraordinary things but I really appreciated the quiet and peaceful atmosphere of the country side. It enabled me to focus on the family life … playing cards, making cakes, going to the cinema, to the beach, walking in the hills, playing with kittens... the most important to learn about people who live there, about their culture, their way of life...
You were very patient and caring, always at house for us... You quickly put me at ease and made me feel more like a member of the family than a student guest.
I really liked to be in a large family and with a lot of pets, it remembered me of the american movie with Steve Martin, "Thirteen by the dozen", large families are not so common in France ! After two weeks I was not exactly fluent but I wasn't afraid to speak english anymore. I'm looking forward to see you again! Camille xxxxx

Notre fille a été bien accueillie dans cette famille mais elle est arrivée à un moment difficile pour la maman qui venait de perdre son père. Notre fille avait choisi cette famille notamment parce qu'elle avait bien accroché avec l'aînée des filles. C'est une famille parfaitement rodée dans l'accueil des jeunes. Elle est inscrite sur plusieurs sites et accueille tout l'été, deux jeunes à la fois, non stop. Père largement absent, à cause de son travail, donc c'est la maman qui prend tout en charge.
Notre fille a regretté qu'il n'y ait pas eu de temps d'échanges familiaux : autour de repas par exemple.
Globalement, pas de problème, du vague à l'âme de la part de notre fille, largement compréhensible.

Table Tennis and snooker/pool table. We have a large family kitchen, dining room, lounge and teenager's sitting room, study, playroom,sun room, balcony, decking. We also have a SUMMER HOUSE overooking the beautiful Erris peninsula in county Mayo with many faboulous beaches all within walking distance.Perfect for surfing and fishing we stay there some weekends and in the holidays. We also enjoy camping weekends by the coast or in the countryside. We go cycling to a wonderful disused railway track, great exercise and so much fun and bonding with the children. We are surrounded by beautiful mountains and lakes. We have two cars and there is a great train service from the village of Ballymote Sligo to Dublin and the village is 3 miles away from our home for 5 mins in car. the nearest international airport in Knock 35 mins drive from our home and Dublin airport is approx. 2 hours drive.
There are so many places to visit, Galway City, Achill Island, all within easy reach to explore.
We belong to local leisure club with swimming pool. gym. tennis courts. We enjoy walking, beach activities, cycling, playing tennis, having meals with friends and visiting grandparents and family. All our children enjoy music dvds teenage stuff, cinema, swimming, cycling and hanging out with friends. . There are lots of stables nearby and riding on the beach is a possibility.There are also lakes for fishing and a golf course in Ballymote town. The nearby beaches of Strandhill and Easkey are world famous for surfing. Our guests will be welcomed into our home and family and will have a wonderful experience of the Wild Atlantic West with the opportunity of improving or perfecting their English !"
