What are the publishing criteria for host and teacher evaluations?
Online evaluations are a valuable part of how the Lingoo community maintains and improves the quality of each homestay experience. So when leaving an evaluation, guests are asked to be as objective as possible, offering comments that can help others decide if the homestay would appeal to them.
We therefore strongly urge those providing feedback to refrain from expressing disapproval over any issue for which the host was not directly responsible, which was not explicitly stipulated in the host’s profile, or was not included in the contract. When criticism is necessary, it should be addressed in appropriate and respectful terms.
All comments left as part of the evaluation of a stay must comply with the following publication rules:
- Comments must not contain any of the hosts’ names, e-mail addresses or contact details that would allow the member concerned to be identified.
- Comments must be suitable for a family audience. Abuse, threats, insinuations, comments likely to provoke hatred and any other content that is not suitable for a family audience will not be accepted.
- Comments must be written in an objective way and for the benefit of all users. They must not be addressed directly to the member.
- Evaluations must be placed within 60 days of completion of the Stay. Evaluations presented after the 60-day period will not be published.
