The language exchange contract

The commitments for the visiting Adult Member and Group Member

The visiting Adult Member or Group Member when entering into a Language Exchange Contract:

  • •Agrees to participate in a language immersion holiday organised on the basis of an exchange between members, of which the dates, location and names of the participants are set out in the Contract.
  • •Undertakes to take out appropriate insurance and in particular civil liability and repatriation insurance covering the costs of medical care and hospitalisation, accidents suffered or caused to another person and participation in all the activities, him/her and, if applicable any participants of the group, is likely to take part in during the stay.
  • •Undertakes to compensate the partner member for any material damage that they, or any members of their group, may be responsible for during the stay.
  • •Undertakes to behave as a respectful and responsible guest of the receiving member.
  • •Undertakes that all the information provided in his/her published profile is true.
  • •Declares that he/she has provided the partner member with all information on themselves and any other members of the group that may have an impact on the stay, in particular any health or emotional wellbeing issues, in good faith.
  • •Undertakes to the best of his/her abilities to respect the wishes of the partner member as noted in the Contract.
  • •Is aware of the risk that all or part of the exchange may not be able to take place at the agreed time due to one or other of the members, and in this event – if he/she is responsible for the problem – undertakes to find a compromise solution that is satisfactory for both members.
  • •Is aware of the fact that there may be unforeseen differences between the conditions of both exchange stays (accommodation, excursions, leisure activities, dietary habits, etc.).
