The commitments for the sending Parent Member
The Parent Member entering into a Language Exchange Contract with another Parent Member for the purpose of sending a child:
• Authorises his/her child to participate in a language immersion holiday organised on the basis of an exchange between families, of which the dates, location and names of the participants are set out in the Contract.
• Delegates his/her parental rights and duties for the child named in the Contract to the legal representatives of the partner child for the duration of the stay, and to the extent necessary for the smooth running of the exchange.
• Authorises the legal representatives of the partner child named in the Contract, in the event of an emergency, to take any measures (medical treatment, hospitalisation or surgical intervention) made necessary by his/her child's condition.
• Undertakes to take out appropriate insurance and in particular civil liability and repatriation insurance covering the costs of medical care and hospitalisation, accidents suffered or caused to another person and participation in all the activities covering his/her child is likely to take part in during the stay.
• Undertakes to compensate the partner family for any material damage that his/her child may be responsible for during the stay.
• Undertakes, on condition that they are clearly consulted beforehand and subsequently give his/her agreement, to reimburse the partner family for any additional expenses not covered in the Contract.
• Undertakes on behalf of his/her child, who is below the age of majority that the child will behave as a respectful and responsible guest of the receiving member.
• Undertakes that all the information provided in his/her published profile is true.
• Declares that he/she has provided the partner member with all information on the child that may have an impact on the stay, in particular any health or emotional wellbeing issues, in good faith.
• Undertakes to the best of his/her abilities to respect the wishes of the partner family as noted in the Contract.
• Is aware of the risk that all or part of the exchange may not be able to take place at the agreed time due to one or other of the families, and in this event – if he/she is responsible for the problem – undertakes to find a compromise solution that is satisfactory for both families.
• Is aware of the fact that there may be unforeseen differences between the conditions of both exchange stays (accommodation, excursions, leisure activities, dietary habits, etc.).
