How will I get paid as a Host Family or Teacher?

On Lingoo, Hosts set their own prices and the currency they would like to receive.

Lingoo collects all payments from Guests due to Hosts directly from the Guest during the reservation process. 

Lingoo pays the Hosts directly so that they don’t need to manage payments themselves and gain the certainty that funds will be received on time and, if applicable, in the correct currency.

Hosts are paid by Lingoo through our regulated payment partner Tipalti. Hosts must ensure that they have completed their Tipalti account details via the questionnaire Your bank details (in My Questionnaires).

Hosts receive 70% of the Guest’s payment from Lingoo on the first day of the stay and the remaining 30% one day after the end of the stay.

Hosts withdraw Guests’ payments directly from their Tipalti account to their own bank. Neither Lingoo nor Tipalti charge for this service.
