How did Lingoo start?
While raising our own bilingual family and living and working in London, Milan and Paris over a 10-year period, friends began asking us if we could help them find a language exchange or homestay for their children to improve their foreign language skills. There were few attractive options
So we turned to our extended network of friends across Europe. They provided warm welcomes and an opportunity for children to learn a language in the native country. It worked well for many years. Lingoo was launched in 2008 to help other people develop their own network of language learners and like-minded language teachers and coaches.
Using the power of the internet to connect people, Lingoo gives choice to parents who are frustrated with more institutionalised approaches to language exchange and offers a personalised service that is second to none. Today, people and families of all ages are enjoying Lingoo homestays, language exchanges, staying with a teacher or travelling the world as Language Au Pairs to boost their language skills in the most enjoyable and authentic ways.
