The commitments for the Parent Member during a paid homestay

The Parent Member, when entering into a Paid Language Stay Contract with a Host Family Member or a Teacher Member, hereafter called the “Host”,

• Undertakes that all the information provided in his/her published profile is true.
• Declares that he/she has provided the Host with all information on the child that may have an impact on the stay, in particular any health or emotional wellbeing issues, in good faith.
• Authorises his/her child to participate in a language immersion holiday organised on a paid basis between members, of which the dates, location and names of the participants are set out in the Contract.
• Authorises the Host named in the Contract, in the event of an emergency, to take any measures (medical treatment, hospitalisation or surgical intervention) made necessary by the child’s condition.
• Undertakes on behalf of his/her child, who is below the age of majority that the child will behave as a respectful and responsible guest.
•Undertakes to take out appropriate insurance and in particular civil liability, cancellation insurance and repatriation insurance covering the costs of medical care and hospitalisation, accidents suffered or caused to another person and participation in all the activities the child is likely to take part in during the stay.
• Undertakes to pay for the Stay under the conditions noted in the Contract.
• Undertakes to compensate the Host for any material damage that the child may be responsible for.
• Undertakes, on condition that he/she is clearly consulted beforehand and subsequently gives his/her agreement, to reimburse the Host for any additional expenses not covered in this Contract.
