Highly recommended family to organize an exchange. My son stayed for a week in July 2024. They were very friendly and took care to show my son many places, providing a very fun and complete experience, they made him feel part of the family. We hope to repeat the exchange. Great Thanks !!
"Zachary is keen to improve his Spanish by doing an exchange with a similar-minded boy his age. He'd like to stay with a Spanish host family in Spain this summer for a week and we'd be happy to host an exchange in our home in London.
I remember very well the exchanges I did as a child and I really enjoyed being part of the family and well looked after. It improved my language skills immensely and I remained friends with my exchange for many years afterwards. I'd like my children to experience the same.
We have a large family home in Greenwich, in south east London, which is very green with the Royal Greenwich Park on our doorstep as well as the River Thames. Greenwich itself is a tourist attraction and we are 15 minutes away from central London on the train or tube with excellent transport links. We also have a holiday home in Deal which is by the coast in Kent.
I run a breakfast club, after school club and holiday club for primary school children and was previously a teacher of French and Spanish. My husband Ben is a maths teacher. Zachary has a brother, Freddie, who is 17, and is also doing an exchange this summer in Spain. Zachary's sister Juliet is 13, she plays football and is involved in lots of drama productions at school.
Zachary enjoys doing lots of different things - playing football, swimming, cycling, tennis, enjoys travelling and learning about new places.
As a family we all enjoy visiting new places together, eating well, being active and enjoying the outdoors. We also enjoy playing card and board games together and listening to music.
As my husband and I are both in education, we appreciate having the long holidays that our children also have. We have been working with children and teenagers for 25 years so we are very used to having lots of children around and we love it!
We would be very happy to host a similar-minded boy aged about 15-16 who would enjoy doing the things we do and fit into our family. We would love to show him around Greenwich, around London (our kids are very used to travelling around London) and also to take him to our Deal home by the sea."
