"I am a middle-aged English woman living and working in West Cork for the last 20 years. I am an English language teacher (CELTA), but have had a varied career in West Cork, ranging from customer service to skills training. I live with my partner, who is an activities instructor. I love the scenery of West Cork, the combination of mountains and sea, and enjoy walking on the many walking routes in the area. I am also very interested in, and proud of, the tradition of artisan food in West Cork.
I have taught English full time for the last four years in language schools to learners ranging from A2+ to C1, and including IELTS preparation courses and Business English. I have worked with students aged from 14 to 70, but the remote location of my home is best suited to older teenagers and adults. I am offering to teach English in both a lesson or tutorial format, and through a variety of cultural and lifestyle activities such as visiting historical sites, places of particular beauty, and experiencing artisan foods."
