Love studying languages, with the hope of someday becoming a polyglot in a few languages, apart from my native English. Have had exposure to some German but have lost quite a bit of fluency through lack of use.
Have studied Italian for several years. Capable of understanding some slowly documented TV shows and documentary broadcasts, i.e.: EDEN - "La Pianeta da Salvare", is one, that I regularly view. Also view (vblogs) in Italian.
Aim is to become sufficiently fluent to express myself verbally in daily conversations with others and to achieve some level of proficiency in writing.
I'm a retired Chemical Engineer. Married with two adult children, who live elsewhere on their own. Most of the time like spending time with family and friends. An extrovert and can easily speak and strike up conversations with anyone, who wishes to engage.
Like travelling. Have spent time visiting a few European countries, including Italy. Have done vacation trips on coach tours through Rome, Orvieto, Pisa, Florence, Venice and St. Francis of Assisi. Have taken a cruise to Naples and visited Sorrento and the Almafi coast, in the south.
